The group of scientists from Glasgow University has carried out a special research, which has been called to prove once again the advantage of antioxidants for an organism of the person. Antioxidants are substances which reduce destructive influence of free radicals - the basic source of illnesses and ageing - by cells of an organism. According to the results of the research, inclusion of fruit juices in a diet will help to lower risk of occurrence of different illnesses and diseases. Scientists have analyzed a chemical compound of several kinds of juices and have counted up the quantity of the antioxidants, containing in them. Researchers have found out, that the grape, apple and cranberry juices contain the high quantity of useful chemical compounds.
Special attention of scientists was turned on presence chemical compounds - polyphenols- in juices. Earlier it has been proved, that polyphenols, being strong antioxidants, destroy free radicals and help the people to be healthy and to overcome a lot of chronic diseases.
The results of research have shown that grape juice contains the greatest quantity of the diversified polyphenols, and also a lot of the antioxidants, equivalent to those, which were found out recently in red wines of Bordeaux.
Not all juices are equally useful. However, having included in a daily diet grape, apple with pulp and cranberry juices, you will increase the quantity of polyphenolic antioxidants in the organism, helping it to struggle against many chronic diseases.
