Choosing hormonal contraceptives, you should:
•  To be surveyed at the gynecologist;
•  To pass US of a small basin (to be convinced of fibromyomas absence);
•  To hand over the analysis on hormones three times during the menstrual cycle (it will allow to make the full picture about all hormonal jumps and excitements of an organism);
•  To hand over the analysis of blood on coagulability as the majority of combined oral contraceptives (COCs) possess ability a little to reduce coagulability of blood, which can lead to bleedings at the latent pathology;
•  To visit the surgeon who will help to reveal varicose expansion of veins (at this illness hormonal contraceptives are counter-indicative);
•  To hand over the analysis of blood on sugar - reception of some preparations reduces tolerance of an organism to glucose, especially at the women having hereditary predisposition to a diabetes.
Only after that the doctor can define with a choice of a hormonal contraceptive, to accept which it is possible within five years, arranging every year 1-2-month breaks. It is done to not allow ovaries to relax. However, gynecologists warn: during breaks between receptions of COCs the woman should be extremely cautious - the “slept” appendages often enough put into operation with enviable activity, developing on 2-3 ovaries per one cycle. Obvious advantages
•  Hormonal contraceptives will be good for married couples which do not wish to deal with diapers in the nearest future, but thus they entirely trust each other (this kind of contraception does not protect from the illnesses transferred sexual way).
•  Contraceptive pills will especially be recommended to the ladies suffering from premenstrual syndrome. The woman accepting them will not have hypostases before menses and other unpleasant feelings of this period.
•  Reception of COCs can relieve from menstrual pains. That is why gynecologists often appoint it to patients with painful monthly hormonal contraceptives as a medicine.
•  One of “by-effects” from reception of contraceptive tablets can become increase of breast.
•  To Hormonal contraceptives can solve other aesthetic problems: to stop superfluous growth of hair and to put an end to acnes.

Obvious disadvantages
•  Hormonal contraceptives can be used only by women leading a constant sexual life with one partner. COCs can’t be used by girls under 25 years and younger - their organism is still growing, so, the hormonal background undergoes constant changes. Having appointed contraceptive pills at such age, it is possible to provoke development of bareness.
•  Incorrectly chosen oral contraceptives can lead to excess weight.
•  Oral contraceptives do not work, if the woman has poisoned, accepted antibiotics or somnolent (some of these preparations reduce activity of hormonal contraceptives).
