Waist is the only part of the woman’s body which borrowed all men without exception for centuries. In opinion of the scientists of the Texas University, it always served as a parameter of woman’s beauty. Men could not converge in opinion, whether the female breast is sexual or not, but the presence of a waist was always welcomed. According to the research, the female figure which in an ideal should remind a sand-glass, was always the standard of the beauty, and consequently, personified the health of the woman. The matter is that distribution of fatty fabrics in an organism of the woman is connected with the produce of sexual hormones, in particular, an estrogen. Thus, the more of these hormones are in the organism, the healthier woman is, and the more the form of her body reminds the desired “sand-glass”. 

The scientists came to the conclusion, that proof predilection for women with a harmonious waist could not be dictated only by a fashion or influence of global mass media.  It is likely, that the harmonious waist gives men a representation about, whether the woman can potentially give a birth to a healthy child and, consequently, men subconsciously find it attractive. Eventually, people also subconsciously choose partners with the most symmetric figures and persons, not reflecting at all that symmetry is an attribute of good genes.
